Applied Kinesiology: Clinical Applications (formerly AK II)
at the Heimathaus Sittensen, Am Heimathaus 4, 27419 Sittensen
The IAVC has once again invited Dr. Carl DeStefano, DC, to teach the ever-popular Introduction to Applied Kinesiology, in conjunction with Applied Kinesiology: Clinical Applications and the Advanced Thoracolumbar Module.
Responding to numerous requests, we are offering the seminars “back to back”, with the Introduction to AK on October 24th - 25th (Tues.-Wed.), followed by the AK Clinical Applications, on October 26th + 27th (Thurs.-Fri.). Introduction to AK IS NECESSARY (a prerequisite) to taking the Clinical Applications course! Feel free to attend one or both!
Applied Kinesiology: Clinical Applications expands on the concepts taught in Introduction to Applied Kinesiology by using muscle testing to diagnose muscle paresis or weakness. The diagnosis and treatment of cranial faults and their relationship to dural connected structures, particularly the pelvis is taught. TMJ anatomy and function are explained with methods for diagnosis and correction. Hand modes, as a means of differentially diagnosing differing structural, chemical, acupuncture and nutritional problems are taught as an important diagnostic approach. Hiatal hernia and ilio-caecal valve problems cause symptoms commonly misdiagnosed in clinical practice. A protocol for their detection and correction is included in the course.
Dr. Carl J. DeStefano graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 1984. He is certified in Animal Chiropractic from Options for Animals (USA). He has also completed all the educational requirements for the Diplomat program sponsored by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Introduction to Applied Kinesiology and Applied Kinesiology: Clinical Applications are the first courses in a broad series of courses Dr. De Stefano offers. His lectures are fun and loaded with “hands on” clinical relevance.
